Casa Loma/Stratford

Casa Loma: "House on the Hill"
Took about 30 minutes to walk to Casa Loma, but the weather has been great and it was an excellent time. Exploring the city is definitely my favorite past time and there is just so much to see and do. Casa Loma is definitely a must see locale in Toronto, it's on a hill that gives you an inspiring view of the city. You can see more of the city from this vantage point than you can from the top of the CN tower.
Stratford
The first trip we took outside of the city was to Stratford. It was about a 2 hour drive back to the west and we had a pretty rainy day. However, since we planned to see the play Kiss Me, Kate inside the Festival Theater it was a prefect way to spend the day. The theater was great and the play was vibrant, comical, and very entertaining. I was surprised about how small the stage was. It was a round stage that was surrounded on three sides by the audience. Our seats were excellent, about 8 rows up from the stage. By the time the play was over the rain had stopped and we were able to see a bit of the city. We took the opportunity to have dinner at Othello's bar and grill (appropriately named for such a Shakespearean inspired town). After dinner we tour the city for a while and stumbled across a Rocky Mountain Chocolate store, it was the prefect ending to a great day. So with sweets in hand we ventured back to Toronto.
