Wicked!

Ever since I arrived in London the only theater show I wanted to see was Wicked. I had heard so many good things about it and being such a fan of theater in generally I couldn't pass up the chance to see it performed in London's West End. Well last night my dream came true. A few of my colleagues and I made the trip over to the Apollo Victoria Theater to see the show.
The story is loosely based on the best-selling novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire, a parallel novel of the 1939 film of L. Frank Baum's classic story the Wonder Wizard of Oz from the perspective of the witches of the Land of Oz. It is currently the 18th longest-running show in Broadway history and the 25th longest-running show in musical theatre history.
I was absolutely blown away by the performance. It was a dramatic, comedic, romantic masterpiece. The staging, props, and costumes alone were the best I've ever seen. (And that says alot bc my favorite show to-date is The Lion King). The singing was award winning and the dancing assemble was amazing. Needless to say I enjoyed the show. I think I could watch it everyday and never grow sick of it.
I am so thankful for the opportunity to taken in such great adventures this summer. However, one adventure I could go my whole life without encountering again happened Both to and from the theater. It was too far to walk, so naturally we hopped on the tube to take us to the show. We'll due to some unforeseen 'incident' we got 'delayed' inside the tunnels for 10 minutes Each way. Now for someone who suffers from mild-claustrophobia this was Not fun. No one else was panicking so I kept my hysteria to myself and of course we eventually were on our way and successfully made it to our destinations. But let me tell you it was not fun and if there wasn't rain in the forecast for the next 30 days I'd vow to walk everywhere from now on.
