Over the Pond

Here is my dilemma. I love adventures. I love to experience new places and people. But I have become such a nervous traveler. It doesn't stop me from going anywhere, but it does make me nausea and dizzy and freaked out for days.
For my most recent adventure to London, the experience went a little something like this. Because of the G20, we were notified to get to the airport crazy early. So I was packed, ready, and to the airport by 2pm (for my 8pm flight). After chilling at the airport all day, and having to repack my bags, bc clearly I can't guesstimate how much 21 kilos weighs, I get checked in and upgraded to business class and find a nice seat watching the US soccer game. As we all know, the US lost and people in my terminal actually started cheering! how rude. I thought about bitching them out and then decided that that was no way to start my european excursion. The good part was the flight, besides the fact that I hate to fly, it was an excellent experience. The dinner was great, the crew was wonderful, and the seat were comfortable. The most entertaining part of the whole flight was before we even took off, the pilot kicked off this old German woman who was causing a scene. After 45 minutes of trying to accommodate her, the pilot finally had enough and kicked her right off the flight. It was more entertaining than our in-flight movie.
We final arrived in London at 8am, where I got through customs smoothly and met up with my driver. I had an excellent tour of the city on my way to my new residence (University of London, Canterbury Hall). The time change is kind of kicking my ass, but I'm confident that after the weekend, I'm going to be back at 100%. There is so much to see and do, its going to take me a whole day just to schedule my sight-seeing, haha.
I can't wait to include you in the rest of my summer adventure, its going to be a blast.
Cheers!

PS. I think out of all the advice that I have received about this trip. Alex wins. And I quote "Look pretty, they have celebrities there", haha.
