City Market
One thing that I have absolutely come to love about living in the London is open-air city markets. There is a shopping center near where I am staying called Brunswick. Every Saturday in the center there is a food market. It is probably my favorite part of the week. There are bakers and chocolatiers creating the most amazing looking desserts and homemade fudge. There are stands serving paella, assorted olives and cheese, stir fry, chinese dumplings, falafel with greek salad, chorizo sandwiches, hand-rolled sushi, and fresh fruit smoothies.
My latest trip to the market resulted in my most delicious selection yet. I had aubergine (eggplant) parmigiana, salad, crusty bread, and for dessert a raspberry and white chocolate brownie. It was excellent and all for under 7.00 pounds. It is small treasures, pockets of the city, such as this that will make me miss London once my stay here is over.
