The House of Parliament and 'Big Ben'

"Guarded over by 'Big Ben' (the world's most famous timepiece), the former royal Palace of Westminster shelters both the House of Lords and the House of Commons and has done so since the 11th century."-Frommer's

Before reaching Big Ben and Parliament, I strolled past No. 10 Downing St. You can't walk down it any more, due to security reason., but you can look down and see England's equivalent of the White House. Its the official residence of the prime minister and is rather modest looking. However, it has been home to everybody from Sir Winston Churchill to Margaret Thatcher. Currently David Cameron and his family call it home. Even though there is not much to look at, it is the most famous address in Britain and a tourist hot-spot for sure.
