Jessie James & Windsor Castle
This weekend I took a break from my studies to visit my good friend Jessie and her husband James one last time while I'm here in the England. As usual we had an excellent time. I enjoy their company So much, and its a great opportunity for me to escape the business of the city for a while. After Jessie cooked us a wonderful dinner, we headed off to their favorite pub, Hunter's Lodge. I swear every single pub in the UK looks exactly like I've always imagined it too, very cottage-y and quaint. While consuming far too much white wine, we continued our great conversations and made plans to visit Windsor the following day.
Windsor turned out to be a beautiful city. I'm told that it a very wealthy part of England, which makes complete sense, since its home to Windsor Castle aka the Queen's Residence. The castle is huge and brooding. It made me think, what are the furnishing like...is it Manhattan loft chic, or Country Cottage cozy? Does it have all the top-notch modern accessories or is it as dated on the inside as it is on the outside? Unfortunately I was feeling extremely under the weather and we had to cut our trip short. But it was still a lovingly visit and now I'm stuck back at the dorms studying my life away.
The best part however is that Jessie and James will be visiting Michigan in August and we have already made plans to meet up again :)
Speaking of Michigan, i will be back in 5 short days! Can you believe it?!?
